Planting the seed of
#AGRI&TOUR
#AGRI&TOUR is a strategic response to rural change.Across Romania, Spain, Ireland, and Italy, partners identified common challenges: declining rural populations, limited diversification of farm income, and the need for stronger links between education and real-world practice. At the same time, growing interest in rural experiences and sustainable tourism created new opportunities.
The project emerged as a strategic response, combining research, training, and international cooperation to transform agritourism into a structured, skills-based pathway for youth empowerment, entrepreneurship, and resilient rural growth across Europe.
#AGRI&TOUR is co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union under the Higher Education cooperation framework. The project reflects the European commitment to strengthening collaboration between universities, professional organisations, and rural stakeholders across countries.
By fostering transnational cooperation between Romania, Spain, Ireland, and Italy, #AGRI&TOUR promotes knowledge exchange, innovation, and shared solutions to common rural challenges, reinforcing the European dimension of education, research, and sustainable territorial development.
#AGRI&TOUR is designed to generate long-term impact beyond the project's official end in November 2028. The tools, knowledge, and networks created during the 36 months will remain active and integrated into institutional and rural ecosystems across partner countries.

Planting the Seed of #AGRI&TOUR
#AGRI&TOUR was born from a shared recognition among European universities and rural organisations that agritourism holds untapped potential for sustainable development. Across Romania, Spain, Ireland, and Italy, partners identified common challenges: declining rural populations, limited diversification of farm income, and the need for stronger links between education and real-world practice.
